Passive voice and conditionals
1. The
passive voice tense is used because …
· The
passive voice is a type of sentence. So a passive voice sentence puts the object
or receiver of the action to the subject position
2. When
do we use the passive voice?
· The
person who did the action is unknown.
· It is
not important who did the action.
· It is
obvious who did the action.
· Someone
is trying to hide who did it.
3. The
structure to use the passive voice in the
PRESENT
TENSE is object + to be (present) + past participle + (by + subject) ** if
needed.
PAST
TENSE is object + to be (past) + past participle + (by + subject) ** if
needed.
PRESENT
PROGRESSIVE is object + to be (present) + being + past participle
+ (by + subject) ** if needed.
